To Keep My Provider What Steps Should I Take?
Wait to select a plan until The Carter Clinic, P.A.  is added to the plans. In the meantime, you can continue to see any one of our clinicians. Your dates of enrollment are based on the county you live in. To change your plan, call 1-833-870-5500.

When Is Open Enrollment For NC Medicaid For The Carter Clinic, P.A.? Open enrollment is based on the county you live in.

For some, enrollment ends on September 13, 2019 and for others, enrollment is from October 14–December 13, 2019. All new plans will begin on February 1, 2020. Please check the link below to see when your enrollment period ends:

How Will I Know If The Carter Clinic, P.A. Is Participating In Certain Plans?
The clinic is committed to ensuring access to as many people as possible, and is working on plans to participate with all eligible medicaid providers. As of August, we are primed to participate with: Healthy Blue, and Ameri Health Caritas. If you haven’t been notified by us prior to enrollment, please call our office at 919-848-0132  to confirm our participation before selecting a plan. 

Can I Continue To See My Provider At The Carter Clinic, P.A.?
Yes. You will have access to our clinicians and facilities as long as you have a plan that we participate in, or until the day before your new plan goes into effect. 

What Happens If I Don’t Choose A Plan By The End Of My Enrollment Period?
If you do not select a plan by September or December 13th, you will be automatically enrolled in one of the four health plans. If The Carter Clinic, P.A. is not participating in the plan you are automatically enrolled in, you have until the day before your plan is to begin to change your plan and keep your providers.
